Village Life

The summer hasn't all been about me hiding and sulking away like a small rat. We had a glorious late June and July with almost continous sunshine. The pub, the village and Somerset were like a small peice of heaven for about 6 weeks as we slowly roasted in the sun and made tons of money.

Unwanted Attention on the Soccer Pitch

Apologia Pro Vita Sua

I should apologise. If Im honest I don't really want to and so please expect a slightly sulky, Hectorish, apology.

I apologise for upping, leaving and saying nothing. Actually I apologise for saying nothing. I dont apologise for upping and leaving; that's me and that's how I was, am and will be. If I have issues then I deal with them on my own in my way and that doesn't invlove a great deal of sharing.

Am I a "bastard" ? Yes. But then if you didn't realise or suspect that already then frankly I'm a  bastard and you are slightly dim.

Do I care about what you think? Yes, I do. Do I consider you freinds and people of value, yes I do. Do I promise not to behave in this way again? No, I don't.

The Dukes of Hazzard

Hector, Beatrice and I spent the day at the Shrewsbury and Gillingham County Show today. Think Dukes of Hazzard, without the Daisy, and you pretty much have the picture. They have been staying with me all week ( indeed they are rabbiting on in the background now).

It was good times. Hector was out of his mind with delight at the huge variety of tractors, JCBs, diggers and combine harvesters that were available for him to climb on, in and through. Beatrice, who is now aged 5 and gets like her mother more and more each week, was in her element bossing people around, organising things and telling me precisely what I was doing wrong.
